The KUL - LHR unwind v.1

like finally finally.. here we are.. whirlwind trip to LONDON! After almost 20 years, I am here again pledging the leaves-less tree, inhaling the cold breeze I once missed, the iconic Red double decked that reminds me of yester-years. yes, LONDON. Alhamdulillah for the opportunity.

LONDON. One of the most well-known city.

Checked-in and the vibes running high in excitement. We choose Emirates since the airlines offer the best price exceptionally on the day bookings were made.

Ready for your first bound Umar? Sorry for the long haul for an introductory. :p So it wasn't pretty a good start for Umar since the plane switched off their cooling condition due to some power savvy, hence he wailed for some air! And I mean he cries his lungs out! Only 5 minutes to take off he calmed himself and starting to play around. Phew. Relieved.

The entourage minus me and siblings during our transit in Dubai.

Arrived at Heathrow, Terminal 4.

So this will be our nesting place for the remaining days in London. Rumah Perseketuan Kerajaan, London in High Street Kensington, Hyde Park, London. The house equipped with 2 main bedrooms and comes with ample living area to plunk ourselves. Comfortable enough I must say at the rate of RM150/per night with additional pillow and duvet, plus it's just a walking distance from Tesco Express, our groceries haystack and just a throw stone away from the nearest tube station. Convenient much.

the temp reading during our stay was 7deg max and descend to merely -2deg at night. freezing! On the other hand, i personally succumb to the view of the leaves-less trees like its painting a roller-story beneath it.

Day 2: Bic ester Village.  Splurging after a worthwhile waits. Seriously it was dirt cheap! well, surprisingly it is still inimitable to the one online sellers offers. argh. I die. cannot tahan one! humming to "kalau aku kaya" by awi rafael ft altimet. :)

After almost 3 hours bunking from one shop to another, we made a stop to refuel. No, doubt the coffee shop offer varieties of sandwiches on the Vegetarian bar. And oh, furiously as it may sound, but I can simply made my very point of view, after every half an hour, we'll bumped into fellow Malaysians and exchanged smile notably (yeah-the shopping heaven for Malaysians).

end of v1, and to be cont in v2.

house update #3

The last update was about the plaster ceiling. Now, the making of our so called wet kitchen. Well mainly this is where the cooking essentials i.e lesung batu and tumis action will take place, inviting the neighborhood through the smells. It's 70% making its way.

Basically I incorporated the idea of getting acquainted in the neighborhood, but somehow it arose the sensitivity concern for hijabi's here especially when I'm all in kaftan prepping my most wanted nasi lemak in the open space wet kitchen. So the husband attempted to level the wall as per the picture says. Purportedly not that practical, but will make do with it for the time being.

The Kitchen Cabinet structuring. Well, IKEA charged RM3K for the structuring fees, so my engineering oriented husband decided to structure the cabinet himself. He's spending an hour half at night assembling the cabinet, piece by piece.  Pocket constrain urge the need for DIY at the moment :) Can I trust him for the job? Sure! He'd already install the lighting in the living dining and porch all by himself.

Basically there's still tonnes to do before we could finally move in and it all demands RM as wide as the Indian Ocean! So, we are making the means step by step.. Till my next update. Oh yes, the London post! Will do that in my next entry.

Salam.
