adam's first day at daycare

yeah! today's his first day.. and i'm soo dead worried.

i think he got enthralled by the colors.

After much intense contemplation. why contemplate? oh, adam has been finger's crossed close to her kakak fatin, his former babysitter. Kakak Fatin took care of him since day one mommy started work after giving birth. Adam even called out for 'kakak' when he's at home during the weekend. he had much form the bond to her. Kakak Fatin feed him porridge, kakak fatin play football with him in the evening, and sometimes, Kakak Fatin were being forced to sleep with him at days (during his teething period, Kakak Fatin even play role as his 'teether' - being bitten here and there) ohhh spoiled! sgt manja!

And WHY transfer him if he's seem okay with the place? well, ever since Adam went to Kakak Fatin, ayah has always been LATE to work. 25 extra minutes to get to the place. Add another 10 minutes more if it's rain. You do the math.

Since, the daycare was just up for run, considering the size is still manageable (3 babies and 8 kids to 4 teachers), plus it's just a flip away from my office (i can always pay him a visit whenever i like), so hubby said WHY NOT? and it's only RM180 monthly :) i nodded to agreement.

So here i am, writing this entry thinking of him. too much i'm afraid. What if, he don't  cope with the daycare? the new surroundings with new faces and all? OR who knows he might called out for Kakak Fatin too! argh! too much worries in head. but anyhow, the daycare is just a step down ahead. so, mommy can always pay him a visit. MUST! ayah said go and check on him hourly basis? WHAT?

starting to mingle with friends. Oh i hope he don't conquer all.

colorful dun't you think so? good that they know how to play with colors.

the dining hall..

he found his one stop play thing.

the great thing is they also has lotsa lotsa  developmental toys.

so Adam boy, mommy hope you'll be good. make friends. adapt well. later we can have lunch together okay? we go eat chicken rice or we go shopping Alamanda perhaps?
we'll see :p

14 months adam boy

Happy 14 Months Adam boy!

It was just few days back when i thought i wrote on his achievement being a 13 months toddler, and now again, i am writing on his 14th months becoming toddler.. my oh my..  the times are indeed exploiting! he wriggles countlessly,  whines like he owned the world, and he indeed put a smile on my face. the dots he's handling at this far are (among that i could remember) :

1. enhances sofa climbing skills - it is nerves wrecking seeing the little one panjat - panjat here and there tau! i mean, no single mom dare to take any risk for anything that might happened if you leave them unattended.

he's making an attempt

and yay! avail number one.

2. Had his first Hagen Dasz, and boy he loves every bits of it :) Ayah buy him..

aunty kakak dena, see, i can still snug in the pairs u gave :)

3. insist on house chores

lipat kain baju

sweep the floor

on alternate weekend, mop the floors to get rid of bugs.

4. Get on style

Adam borrow ok uncle chip..

5. Mutter few more vocabs like kat (cat)

6. Put his legs out to wear his slipper/shoe..

7. Has 10 teeth all together, to date!

munchkin sayang,
mommy & ayah loves you more and more each day!

the twin's birthday!

this is the first time i attended a twin birthday party! celebrating the twin turning one. hilarious, and I'm Lovin' it :)

it's time for Ronald!

on the day, mommy prepped me early since she has to pack my things for two different occasion. a birthday and to a wedding next. blast!

Jungle Birthday theme. but i have nothing like jungle.

so mommy made me wear this decent chong-sam - look-a-like baju. it was a gift by Tok Nek from her recent visit to Bali (yeah people, my Grandmom went to Bali for holiday-wherein, myself have not been there yet! envy her!) and the party hat. (i was itching myself out because of the strings attached underneath)

and mom introduced me to this beautiful girl named airis sofea. she's older by 2 weeks, only :) i offered salam, but no respond..

i sulk. she refuses my salam.

so ayah offered his company. ayah bribed me with Bubur Ayam McD. i buy that. (somehow, ayah's crispy-hot chicken lurking my tummy!)

mommy joined me for few snaps. but this is the only one that she looks good in. the rest, were blur. poor mom.(and the one that 'hide' the fats she carries:p)

the birthday cake. beautiful.

the proud mommy with her twin. both are fully breastfeed baby. overwhelming happy in a frame. thank you for inviting and the treats. i enjoyed in pure bliss :)

Happy First Birthday Twin.

he tipped it!

i bet, all mommies out there would crack ideas out of their head, getting unruly things into mind, in making a child proofing for the safety sake of their babies. be it the kitchen (adam loves kitchen!), bathroom, dining (where the big vase full of flowers stands of course) and even the staircase. i dare not take a single risk out of it.

in Adam's case, almost entire proofing is needed. he explores every single thing. (one time was, he went to the kitchen and brings out handful of onions and give it to mommy). he'll just collect everything.

so, i and the dad, anticipate. in the minimal way and given what ever we have in the house of course, we would find one best way to not let the little boy drained our energy out easily..so, here is one way of not leading him to the kitchen..

we placed this box cover (conventional way), with hope no trespassing by the little one. (so mommy and ayah can watch csi without the needs of running back and forth to the kitchen after him)

you guys think he surrender? wait and see here..

tadaaa! he tipped it over! (this is easy mommy! not challenging at all!)
and off he runs to the kitchen scouting for what else to manipulate mommy and ayah.

hmm..(mommy and ayah garu kepala..)

owan

hello hello hello.. i have been soooo occupied with sooooo many things!

First and foremost, i would like to convey my greatest syukur towards bff dena on mr. kouhei's embracing Islam. He lafazed syahadah, and brought tears not only to her but myself i can feel the vibe. the empathy. Alhamdulillah. no better word i could find to describe the feelings inside. May the journey for both of you sail smooth. :)

On my second note, Takziah and condolences to kembar Reen on the demise of her beloved father. oh my. i cannot picture myself in her shoes. Too much sorrow to dwell on. I offer my deepest sympathy on the passing. Be strong kembar.

that's all the note i longgg on posting. for the mean time at least. back to the topic. OWAN.

what's owan? ahaa.. grown up are always the pretend clever one! never understand baby languages. babies knows more you see. Even more than you ever imagine. It's just that they don't deliver the message correctly. Adam has been addressing tokwan, owan.. (but it sounds owen!) yeah rite! the not-so-hot-anymore Owen. :p (i used to be his number one fan, besides Kaka.. haha, lame on me, i know)

so here's the story on adam and owan.

meet my owan people. am his first best grandson. (best?) some say, i resembles owan. do i?

every morning, without fail, owan will take me out for a gramp-son stroll. which explains why mommy often late for work! we'll go round the trees, hello the chirping bird (hello the mosquito too!), and hissing the passing cars nearby. owan obediently follow wherever i stop.

owan'll lift me up whenever i'm down. and he'll always end up saying 'hantapp cucu tokwan ni'.. besar sikit lagi, ikut tokwan pi kedai kopi nah..

he's there when i was sick :( he steamed my favorite potatoes every time he came for visit. banana sometimes :) yeah, i love bananas!

whenever mommy decline my wants, i'll beg owan! and it's always yes with owan. that is why owan is my number one super hero! (ouh wait, second lah. dad is number one, perhaps? :) )

and ..by far than expected, he teaches me how to drive too! at my tender age? yeah. i never knew wheeling the car is just soo much fun!

thank you for the company owan. thank you for the pleasures you made. adam loves owan much much!

i - the chef

salmon steak with saute veges..

eherm *cough*.. presenting my very first attempt on hand-made western meal. a proper one i mean instead of the easy peasy fish & chips and sandwiches (belagak :p). yeah, a pat on my back for the effort at least, kan? :) *too much of food network influence*

i marinated the salmon with garlic, lemon squeeze, rosemarry, and of course the salt & pepper.  leave it to the fridge for seasoning in about 4 distinctive hours. the key one should always hold when using salmon, is the intensify freshness of the flesh. we don't want end up serving a 'hanyir' salmon.. olive oil is another essential in salmon dish. for the veges, what i did was, i boiled them all together and instance sauted with butter. quick and oh-so colorful.

overall, it turn out pretty good and not bad at all (the family think so at least) :p

February 15, 2011

what do i do with this machine?

how on earth do i get this machine running? it's huge and fascinated me in so many ways. i once saw uncle chip running (read: sweating) on it, so i made it fast to join him. literally, he let me join for a few 3 minutes before he yells out for mommy. duhh... so this time, i wonder if i could do just the same like uncle chip did. but must make sure mommy's not around any near corner seeing this, cause she'll sure give the NO NO grin look.

hmm..

Nadayu 92

i am writing STILL despite the truckloads of work rendered on the table. let them be for the moment. let me do some crap here.

what i'm about to share this time, it's about a place called home. yeah. a home it is. oh no no, it's nothing about the house we bought and not even earning a new one. :p Let it be one at a time. hehe.

There's a new housing area launched here, so we thought, a glance won't do any harm since it's just nearby. The Nadayu 92 by Mutiara Goodyear Development Berhad.

this is the super link lot. they are yet to launch the semi-D's and Bungalows. Gated and guarded 24-hour security.

check out the details

the living area. spacious? i love the mirror concept. it helps 'enlarging' the room

unique. the hanging center piece caught my eye.

the dry-kitchen.. hubby adores white. he wanted our home having something similar to this. *so can you imagine how many times i need to wipe on dirts on a single seconds basis? the ketchup, the sauces, and all the whats-not!*

the wet kitchen

heart the shape. instead of the normal tv rack, this one is more refreshing!

the chair. rare and nice.

the living hall in the second floor.

and this is the view from balcony. the best part about Nadaiyu, is that it comes complete with pool and playground. They are also developing tennis court and basket ball court amenities. how cool is that?

happy birthday abah

'happy birthday tok wan'
with love - Adam - (how come he gets the credit, when some body's else paying?) haha

Abah turned fifty-seven yesterday (The February 9th).. Fifty Seven of wonderful years lived. We had nothing fancy since it was a last minute prep (blame on the workload plus the husband's away), so, instead we settled down for a cozy family dinner. A home-made and fast-food-made. I ordered Domino's (the easiest within a click, and sent to your door) and being frantic in the kitchen preparing Singapore Noodles (all by myself, coming back from office, argh, so proud:p) serving for the night. Complimenting myself. Haha. Thank You. Thank You.(forgotten to snap one thou! Frustrated!) .

To Dear Abah,

Thank You for Every single thing. Appreciate all the hard work you've done while heaving headaches raising us three (explains the high blood pressure) huhu

So many wonderful moments we have spent together.
So many wonderful years in all kinds of weather.
Thinking of u Abah brings memories to mind.
Wonderful moments we ll treasure.

We love u so dearly.
Happy Birthday!

say hello Tok Nyut

hello *waving with a grin*

adam's Tok Nyut and her sexy thigh :p

hehehe..she's aged 100 something if i'm not mistaken..allow me to introduce her..but wait..(how am gonna do that without even knowing her real name is? *scratch head*).. will further find out. she's Adam's fifth generation.. ok, now how do i put this? erm, she's MIL's grandmother.  something like this:

Tok Nyut (in the pic above)
.
.
MIL's mom (passed away- al fatihah)
.
.
MIL
.
.
Ayah Adam
.
.
Adam

so, now you get the picture? owh, pardon me if you don't ..ain't no good in explaining.

anyway, she lives with one of my aunt back in Terengganu (hubby's family).. and every time we went back, will surely pay her a Hello :) practice respect for the elderly :) some of the time she remembers crystal clear, but most of the time she don't. considering her being 100 plus years old, no doubt. she wanders around like any other senior citizen. but she don't goes out anymore. not even to the living area of the house. she's bound by her room and the kitchen area only (since the kitchen is right opposite her room).

it was the first time Adam met Tok Nyut! and poor Tok Nyut, cause Adam was afraid of her.. (because of the wrinkles perhaps, no?) the first impression he gave? hahaha..he wailed his lungs out! nanges2 carik mommy:p oh God, stomachache. i felt a lump in my throat filled with guilt. i prayed hard, she didn't take it as an insult nor offense.

one good morning, Tok Nyut was enjoying her delicious Nasi Kerabu for breakfast, and the very instance she saw Adam pass by, she called me.. 'acu panggey anok tu, buwi dio make nasik khabu ni'..hahahaa..she insisted with her genuine heart to feed her Nasi Kerabu (with budu of course) to Adam! i satisfied her by giving her a smile and said in my highest politeness, 'Tok Nyut, Adam baghu jah make nasik'.. so sweet of her for the courtesy.

she's live a long life. i bet, she must had barrages phase of life undergone. and she made her way to the millenium era. may Allah bless you Tok Nyut :)

13 months adam boy

happy 13 months little munchkin..it's already the February 2011..on note that you've achieved coming this far :

1. muttering on few vocabs. have got a little talker in hands :) for example, he is able to say NAK whenever he sees people eating or munching on something and offer his palm..

2. he'll say DAHHH.. everytime he finishes milk (and throw the bottle high trying to convince mommy on the emptied bottle)

3. Enjoys manipulating things.. the LEGO blocks for example.. whenever mommy arrange the blocks, he'll pulls them off furiously

4. Had his first taste of Nasi Minyak Terengganu, Tok Mama's Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak (rice only), and Nasi Kuning Terengganu (geee, can you count the calories i've been feeding him during the CNY? haha) ok, of course all were introduced in a small portion to meet his diets recommendation.

5. Loves to chase cat whenever he sees one.. also, resorting on pulling the cat's tail and went hand clapping on the avail.. poor cat!

6. Knows when he is being reprimanded - either keeps quiet and looks at you guiltily or wail his lungs out

7. Knows salam and cium tangan.. (i don't keen on the way the babysitter taught him which is amin, instead of salam.. amin applies whenever one finishes doa kan? (i think so at least) so, am putting it my way i.e shake hand is salam, and not amin)

8. Love love and just in love with maher zain single's esp InsyaAllah and Alhamdulillah.. he listen to it religiously.

9. When i said to him, adam..kiss mommy.. he'll leaned on me and give me his forehead .. i think it's so sweet of him.

10. And when people call out for his name, he'll raise his hands up with a grin.. haha (perasan la tu) :p

11. Prefers the tv control on top of all the toys.. (mommy just dun geddit why)

12. He voluntarily's put his arms up when we want to take his shirts off

13. Still, it takes an whole loads of effort to put on the diapers ..

14. Able to understand simple instruction.. i.e when i say, adam come..he'll immediately on his two feet and run towards me with open arms..

15. And whenever he sees hand-phone, he'll place it to his ear, and goes aaa..aaa.. imitating mommy's grimaces on the phone..hesshh..learning through the everyday's gestures.

16. Pointing and making sound 'ish' every time he went to nenek's (MIL) fish pond.. (the latest: he threw his binky (puting) into the pond!!! konon2 nak share dgn ikan - ikan dalam kolam) haiyaaa..

at 13 months young..
in this pix, he looks exactly like uncle ngah back in 1985 :)
