of my sept 12th lunch

can you just imagine the countless sin of the whipped cream? oh my. thank god i'm not a believer when it comes to dessert. So I don't go madness and drool over it THAT much! exceptionally this one (Padi's)  is less tooth decaying compared to the one in Serai.

Baked Spaghetti for lunch. A bit bland thou.

Place: Padi House, Galeria PjH, Percint 4.

mom's birthday

Happy Birthday Momma & Brother Haris

After deliberate thoughts of what to eat and where to eat, so I decided to dine in Plan B, Publika. Few times heard of it, so why not give it a try. Verdict? Food : I would say so-so. not to my expectation perhaps. But mom's chicken pie wasn't disappointing. Ambience: cosy and nice. Service: Quick and delivered well. Price: as expected for a place like that thou seem less reasonable. Repeat? Nahh, not any near.

Chocoholic nightmare. Desert for the day. Delish and finger lickin'. Despite arrays of flavours  sprinkle with beautiful colours being offered, it is still all chocs basis filling the box of 6. Definitely will repeat this one.

So mom, Happy Birthday! Love you to every bits.

harboured love

Coming back home late last night, mom decided for a decent family dinner. On her, she said. *that's lovely, i thought so*. Nowadays, siblings are all grown up, you'll find it tough to get everybody sits together except for it was earlier planned. It's either one will be back late for dinner or the other one engaged on meeting friends at mamak. I mean, how often do we call our brother/sister to ask how well have they been doing. Perplexed eye, to us they may seem fine, but how can you be sure? *i think i began value family even more once i have had one of my own*

So since it was the full house home last night, mom made up the place for us. Yeayyy. Catching up times. I just love being surrounded with loved ones. You can almost feel the vibe and intensity you once had for them.

Full-house keeping up the sanity contented.

glorious food trigger happiness for the night.

everybody got to taste a pinch to each serving. Spread the love.

No matter how high we've climb the ladder in life, always always root back to family.

cafe

this a place where we dine in a few nights ago. i admired the concept and design they have in coming up with such a pleasant-homey-like place to dine. very simple and cozy ambience it has, and i find myself staring to almost everything  in the cafe. i love it. the little white cafe.

the deco.. captivating entrance there they had. and more? owned by a Malay. I am truly proud.

nah here is the blackboard where all the menu's written down.

the garments on the wall. pretty much inspiring if i may say.

macaron in the house.em,i rate B for this. tasted a good one indeed.

for concept wise, i rate A for an effort! Did not disappoint me on that particular one.

BUT must i say, pretty pricey for the minimal portion they served and if not much, surely and highly can improve more on the taste-wise. Make it less bland. Anyhow, go try peeps!

Cafe Barbera

I have not been to the place but yet receive huge number of them outside complementing the place. makes me go gaga..what la so good about the place. So since mom's and brother 1's birthday falls in this month of the rave spread, i decided to drag the whole family for Birthday Luncheon there. Oh did i not tell you? Mom and Brother 1 birth date falls on the same date. Meaning, on Mom's 26th birthday, she had a healthy baby boy as a gift from God. What a bliss? *_*

here's a picture of how it looks like. (taken from their fbpage)

a laid back ambience inside. it has a touch of italian here and there. cozy and welcoming. soothing music breezing.

the parents. who do i take after? *_*

mine. i know, you must be saying, of all the long list exotic fusion they offered, i opt for the classic meatballs spaghetti. very lame laa. i got caught by the inviting pictures they put up on the menu book. taste wise? so so la. my home-made version is more finger licking!

hubby's pick of the day. the instance i wanted to have a spoon, the plate was shining clean already! Only the shells left and placed nicely.

adam's dish. mouthful of chips.

Chunggington by all means, managed to distract this little fella. Thank God! Or else, he'd go throwing spoons and bashing the table surface. Now mommy can devour food heavenly. *_*

basically the food served was OK and not that bad. I would very much recommend for once in a while. Quenched your thirst for once a year. Satisfy my cravings at least.

The Cake cutting session. Happy Birthday Mom and Uncle Ngah. May the coming years blossoms bouquet of happiness. See Adam was not at all paying attention. He was much mesmerized by the balloons outside. Oh, let me zoom a bit on the sinful pavlova there..

i said to the cameraman, make sure the captions Cafe Barbera above are not cropped of.

Mom surely did had a wonderful celebration.

japanese cravings

Miyagi is one of the famous Japanese Restaurant here, in Bangi. I had always wanted to try their delicacies but was not sure on the halal cert, whether they have one or not. BUT, recently, a relatives affirmed that it is halal serving. (hubby is meticulous when it comes to halal/non halal), so yeayy! a must try for Japanese craving like us.

don't ask..i have no idea for what does it mean. dena, can you translate this pls..hehe. the main entrance mimics exactly of a typical Japanese restaurant, wherein the main entrance is basically comprises of two sliding wooden doors. Once you stepped in, embrace the designing concept they adhere.

1. the ambience was quiet and clean. just like the way hubby wanted it. (he wanted a quiet and calm serene so he could enjoy the food utmost!)
2. i think it's the appetizer (those in green leaves serving)..was too scared to try, so i leave em there for hubby.
3. the menu- i ordered chicken teppan set

right- hubby's salmon terriyaki (i gave an A for both, taste and serving wise)
left- my yummss chicken teppan (look at the garlic rice! looks like nasi dagang to me)..and adam gallop half of the bowl.

satisfaction of the lil customer they had for the evening.

and some more foods! can you imagine??? big tummy for the evening! ebi tempura and unagi something something..(cudn't be bother :p)

dessert for the day.. ahh, forgotten the name already! very cute thou and taste nice, gracefully made, and not tooth decaying.

On sum, i think this place is cool. something different and welcoming. the rate offered were quite reasonable, considering the size of serving.. would later come again, for sure :)

on the birthday!

Happy Birthday to me..yeayyyy!

Another year wiser (not older definately of course!).. so in denial! like mentioned in my fb status, with my wall flooded with all warm messages from friends & family, i was very much blessed! too much that i feel like cryinggggg! yes, you don't need PRADA nor CHANEL to make you feel awesome... it is the value of toughts that came into yourself. and i am one happy lady for that!

Having said with this opportunity, i convey my heartiest birthday wishes to kembar Reen oh her becoming 27. We share the same birth date for except the year were different. she's younger. (is it? :p) we in fact share a loads truck of same interest too! Like, i've been writing this blog in ahe'm, silently. (too shy to be in public) And when she abrupted one fine day about her blog, i went WHAT??? ko pun ada blog? ko suke tiru aku kan? ahahaha.. NO. she started writing first for sure. As a matter of fact, she has even LARGE number of followers tooo..

Being 28 years old (alert:!: the BIG 3-0 is creeping closer), i'm endowed with the most beloved-understanding husband whose always at yin when i'm at all yang. Someone that i can be myself with  and i know he  won't be running away screaming. And now, the naughty-charming-yet-still-adorable little prince has filled the blank. I feel complete. Alhamdulillah. Allah gave a really good year to me and my family. A careeer that wouldn't let me suffer untill the retirement. A family and in laws who offers unconditional love. Thank You Allah.

So, how did i celebrate? Nahh.. no balloons nor party hat. It was rather a cozy family get together. So here's a little sum up on yours truly turning twenty eight.

The Office Gang hosted a Lunch at Secret Recipe, Alamanda.
(they are trying to spoon FATS on me!!!:p)

and my not-so-romantic husband suprisingly turned out to be the MOST romantic one when he brought our little family for a fine dining at Azur, Shang-ri La, Putrajaya. THANK YOU dear husband. I LOVE YOU MORE FOR THIS. the food verdict: a little bit of dissapointment thou. not to our expectations. Look at the serving, i mean. So not fascinated. *grin*

I ordered Risotto something something (too long to be remembered) and the husband satisfied with his seabass & salmon something something tooo. the desert? Oh-my-God! sugar high! what is wrong with the chef? ok, don't complaint. i picked the place anyhow *sigh*

and of course the family dinner significantly for the birthday gurl. Parents together with the in laws. The love. We resided for Putrajaya Lake Club (Mom got to choose since she's billing it!) Fairy God Mother, see, Adam honoured the pairs you gave by not letting it bare naked on the floor!

aherm..see, who said a twenty eight cannot get pressies?! flatered! THANK YOU once again :)

I asked husband, will there be anymore candle light coming up for the celebration? He rolled his eye BIG! okay, i read that as No. Not until 2012.

So, that's a Happy Birthday to me! :)

taste

holla..holla..long hiatus, no? dreadful december i must say.. the past couple of weeks haven't exactly been a joy ride to the seaside. work, life, jitters to worries etc etc.. pfft.. when the ordinary meets different pathway, life gets curvy at point. not a cup of tea. anyhow, things are bound to get better, aite? insyaAllah.

i took 2 days off since adam's babysitter applied for leave and left no one else to take charge of the little fella. not that i trusted them. the leave somehow was less favorable since loads of works awaits. the end-year urgencies. somehow, pave my way to the office on friday and had to drag adam along, on which surely that was the last resort i could think of. only if i were given twos, i would rather not to bring him to the office. no point, at least from my view. couldn't contributed much when a super active baby dwell for your attention.

see what i meant? he got to sit on my chair, immersing himself in comfy-ness and started re-arranging papers, painting my files, unlock the cabinet (behind).. *mommy went head scratches*

towards noon, i gave up! better not stay long for fear conjuring more dismantled state of mind..so i quickly pack and decided for lunch date with mom. the taste.. new cafe opened few months back here in bangi, and to my content, receive a place at heart. am talking about anticipation! i'm not talking about any lavish neither exclusive. instead, it's a more home-taste food with nice ambience and simply satisfying for a simple dining. me and mom decided to give it a try. plus the little rascal of course.

it's blue and brown. classy.

how cool is that, huh?

the little fella drooling for fooood!

newly developed skill - self leaning to get out of the chair.

large portion of my marinara spaghetti served with garlic bread. close to perfect.

well, i forgotten to snap mom's meal. it was chicken mushroom something something.. *short term memory loss*..the serving was pretty quick, neat, simple, and inspiring. can come back for another spoon. :)
