On turning TWO

It's December 15th today, indicating there's just 2 weeks away on welcoming the new year. Time speed like out of the ground! It also means 2 weeks away on Adam turning TWO! And the mere fact is, similar to last year on him turning one where he was hospitalized for 2 days due to viral fever, which again this year on turning two, he caught the bug just again! Fortunately this time, he was not sentenced to the children's ward. THANK GOD! or maybe not just yet, who knows (please dun't let that happen).

Adam lost his fond towards food, to which everybody in the family questioned in awe. Very exceptional of him. The worst case even, he rejected milk since a week ago, and only consume meal once a day! To which has resulted in him loosing 1.5kg! On the other hand, himself is seem on a well being albeit the runny nose and coughs. Paed diagnosed him having enlarging tonsils and prescribed antibiotic to expedite the shrink. Oh Allah i succumbed to seek for your blessings.

Get well soon son!

disheartened

i came back home last night, to shocked, seeing my Adam with mild bruises on his hands, and a stretch of marks on his face..i felt soooo disheartened! no mommy on earth i think could tolerate when it comes to seeing your lil one in pain. so this morning, i stroke his hair and said.."adam, siapa buat ni (pointing at the bruise marks).."  he replied saying "a-thi-ra bat (buat)"..i went ouh..a gurl again.

last week i had experienced the same, but the marks were not too visible so i didn't make a big fuss out of it. i did asked thou, who did that to him..and he said aina. ohh poor boy. hm, this is the price that us mom will have to pay upon sending the lil one to caretaker. well, in a good way, i do see it as a learning process for toddler his age, but at the same time, it is agonizing!

ps:this morning as i was getting ready, Adam came to me asking "mommy otis (office)?..bye-bye mommy"..ohhh melt!

i'm torn

oh no..oh no.. i am now worried sick! From the 29th - 2nd Dec, i'll be on a one week work trip down south. Husband on the other hand, will be dedicating the entire week in Langkawi for LIMA..! Imagine Adam without parents for the whole week?? And when i was just about to seek love from Owan & Omak, they abruptly said, "mama & abah nak pegi Vietnam from 1st Dec until 4th"..Greatttt! Where's the love?

I must now ask my MIL and seek her tender love to take care of Adam while the busy parents being away. Oh poor Adam boy. We have never been apart at nights ever since he was born. Never. Can i do this? I mean let him sleep alone with PIL for the entire week.?? Now i'm torn.

Flip on to one page, then he said "mommy, i-nissshhh"..

November 8, 2011

..last night..

i did little conversation with Adam last night.. well, more like language enhancing for him.

Mommy: Adam, bunyi cat macam mana?
Adam   : Eoww..Eoww
Mommy: Good Boy!

Mommy: Adam, bunyi Bird macam mana?
Adam   : Tutu..Tutu..
Mommy: Haa, tutu? em,oklah kot.. (laughed out in heart)

Mommy: Adam, bunyi Chicken macam mana?
Adam   : Kokok..Kokok..(like the sound you heard for subuh prayer)
Mommy: Hahahaha.. (this time can't contained and i burst out)

Mommy: Adam, bunyi Cow macam mana?
Adam   : Mooo..mooo..
Mommy: Ok, pass (got a kiss on forehead)

And i then move on to his Yellow Book on Fruits.

Mommy:What's this Adam? (flipping over the first page)
Adam   : Ni Owen..ni appol..ni banana..ni gape..ni payaya..(mommy laughed again)..ni cayyot..ni bootan..
Mommy: Good Boy!

Adam   : Mommy, nak do-do..jom mommy (held to my hand) walking towards the room.

Ahh..again i'm saying it, you're so grown up dear. *_*

of him being vain :p

on recent

Abah was recently warded again. It started of with mild fever and over time, the temp kept rising. When thorough check performed, the doctor said he needed minor surgery to remove bisul on his thigh. Otherwise, it'll lead to blood contamination. This is his second time at exactly the same place. Poor abah.

And alhamdulillah the doctor agreed for him to be discharged only after 4 consecutive nights of close monitoring. At last.! He felt impulsive sick if were detained any longer.

Thank you Dena for your call all the way from nihon on asking how's Abah been doing.. You know i heart you kan? :p

And Adam on the other hand seems to enjoy the loyal visit we paid every single night to the hospital. He got a chance to go for lapses run back and forth at the corridor like nobody business. He loves the pastries he saw at the Bits and Bytes shop downstairs (insist for it like every single visit!). Oh boy. Waves hand to the attending nurses near the registration counter was the routine he got to the discover during the visit. And also, i tweeted few nights ago, every time the nurses came to the room to check on Abah, he said "hai kakak"..and the moment the nurses left, politely he went "ti-ku (thank you) kakak".. *_*

And upon discharged, Abah came home saying "nurse nurse kat sana semua kirim salam dengan Adam"..  haha. He earned points there.

caught in attempt making mischief

slipped of owan's piece of blanket and place it nicely on the doorstep!

one thing that make him sit still for like 10 good seconds before musing on to other things.

Salam Aidiladha to all :)

by leaps and bounds

boy oh boy, it's year end eve already! October 2011, bidding farewell eagerly. what have i made coming up this far? not much. pretty not much obviously. the resolution made at the very beginning of the year seems too far still. sombre.

Somehow, this little boy has indeed developed through out the year. By leaps and bounds. I sometimes cry my heart out seeing him becoming a little boy. that i no longer get to address him as a tiny-winny baby like i did. he's all grown up, learning, and changing at astonishing facets. he wakes up in the morning with a huge grin compelling to himself and says "morning amie".. and myself went all emo on that particular 2 words, shedding tears. I seem to find it hard handling emotions especially pertaining to him. Is it what people said 'motherly instinct'? He has now making abilities on constructing simple sentences. For example;

Situation 1: he was seeking for ayah to fix his car and came to me saying "amie, ayah ne?" i replied to him "ayah shower".. he nodded but in awe grimaces..on other circumstance, when he's done with 'business', he'll say "amie,adam yakk cukk..wash amie"

Situation 2: he endlessly point to a bus whenever he sees one. This time around, he'll say "amie, nak na-ik bus" *haha, mommy herself has loooooong ago did not ride on a bus*..likewise the train and aa-yo-pane.. "amie, nak na-ik aa-yo-pane"..

Situation 3: adam got this huge obsession for keys! The car keys respectively. He himself is able to identify which key is ayah's and which is mine. Even owan's & omak's (my mom) all in his mind. One fine morning, he look up to where we safe keep our car keys and notice owan's missing. And so, he came up to me, asking "amie, key owan ne?"..with an instance smile i said, go ask owan..and off he ran for owan asking the same. It happens all the time whenever someone's key dislocated from the place.

Situation 4: "amie, adam amuk (camuk)"..yes, such an honesty that forces mommy extra work-out of the day. every time he mess up his play area, he brave himself taking the plunge. not feeling guilty at all.

Situation 5 : On the dinner table, when he sees the table are all set and ready to be served, he'll go "ayah, akan (makan)..owan akan..cichik akan..annah akan" every one in the house will not be left out. He'll repeat effortless and will only satisfy upon presence.

And more of the list continues. He is making path to even more unexpected exuberance in the coming years and i find myself simply looking forward to every seconds of it. Adam, you never fail to make me burst out in tears, be it happiness at a painstaking point sometimes. :p

my second boyfriend, who now weighs 14kg :)

20 months

tick tock tick tock... lapse of time is definately felt! adam is now 20 months young, and will soon turn 2! How time has never wait for even a single second. He's no longer a baby as it may seems, but eternally he is at heart. And i shall pat myself for being able to render the duty of a MOTHER coming to this point. Lots and loads of PATIENCE needed along the way and much say, days ahead in dealing with him becoming toddler, meeting new phase of environment in life, the unpredictable. It is said, watching the parents control their temper may be the first step in his learning to control his.

At this point, Adam has never fail to amuse us. Everyday, and every deeds he's developing and absorbing the sees and do's from surrounding. Notes on his being 20 months;

1. Understand simple instructions i.e "Adam, go get the Remote Control for me please"..- and he'll be back with one.
2. Still emerging language skills - he remembers precisely on certain things i.e whenever he sees the Petronas logo, be it outside, in the newspaper, on notebook, even on ayah's shirt. He'll shout for "nassss"..
3. On the new vocab he picked -  McD (mek-nol-nol), Shell (dell), Playground (pey-gong), House (house), Bicycle (kal), Pillow (wo-wo), Aeroplane (aa-yoo-pane), Tractor (tek-torr) Merdeka (deka) and few more to mention..
4. When i point to him and asked, "who's this?"..he replied saying A-tammm.. cute i think!
5. He has now complete his Transport book.. and moving on to the First Word Book..
6. Address waitresses he bump into as "kakak"..
7. Knows to pull his pants off when mommy said shower time.
8. Whenever done's with 'business', he'll let us know.. "mommy, yakkk".."wash mi" ..and oh i think he's ready for potty training kot kan.. hmm, must do reading on this.
9. Loves "aa-kutt" (Yakult) and "yatt"(chocolate)..NOT GOOD! most of the time i'd hide whatever that is chocolate based from his sight. I personally do not want him to consume chocolate/candies at this age.
10. Knows how to knock - knock when entering a room, gives salam i.e akum whenever enters the house. And prefers running instead of walking!
11. Refuse his binky on his own! He went no-no when i offered one. Good boy!

Adam, the list sure continues as time goes by. Whenever one day you read what i have jot down, i want you to know, despite the naughtiness - makes mommy went adammmmm!!! whenever you lashes out, you did not fail to impress. You put a smile on my face when i needed one most! And knowing you calling mommy mommy see is (this) from outside when i was taking bath, is such a wonderful feeling you know. It is felt at heart. I didn't realized it until today. Mommy loves you son!

Ramadhan Day 4

Salam Ramadhan fellow friends and to all Sisterhood Muslims..

It's day 4 of Ramadhan. Lapse of time has taken on toll. Workload was to dear too company for the past month. Meetings day and night. Hence for the lack of updates. Papers to review upon submission. Too many. I'm picking up the steeps to be back on track.

And adik, just when you were about to see him regaining back from the loss he'd been through, the doc's mere voice proclaiming adik need to be monitored closely and further test procedure need to be conducted, were like a knife struck straight into my heart. i mean like, admitted again? Apparently it seems adik's body did not reacted the way that it must upon the previous medication prescribed hence not much of a progress he made. Ohh why?

Poor adik..It's like pouring salt to an open wound when Doctor Amir, upon hearing the symptoms adik tends to exhibit, i.e odd and bizarre behavior (talking craps few times like i mention in prev post, depression, mourning to himself and some of the time he seem to be in the state of delusion or best said hallucinate), has pretty much encouraged adik to see Psychiatrist. Not to mention the neuro team he were about to meet this morning. So, there goes, the list of test & persons needed in regaining back his composure, the person he once was. Now tell me, how can i be any happier knowing the state he's in?

I know this is the holy month of Ramadhan, a month of ocean-wide blessings. I must adapt and seek continuous dua from Allah without fail. Seeing him in such pain, giving the situation he's in, i got carried away easily and strewn. I am always at the verge to cry. Amidst of all the bitterness, i sincerely hope for a silver lining to shine towards the coming eid.

Thank you for all the prayers friends &  family.

Adam on the other hand, conjuring well to the surroundings given the new skills he developed every now and then. Like counting 1-10 for example. In his very own version. One, Two, silence, pour (4), pie (5), silence again, benn (7), teyyy (8), silence, and Tennnnnnn! Hand clapping eagerly of course praising himself. Argh, he never fail to put a smile on me despite all the miseries.

Sejadah pun boleh untuk lap tayar kereta *_*

18 months adam

he turns 18 months today and this was what he gets for being 18 m.

this one was taken on our way to Az Zahrah Hospital.

poor boy!

my heart sank upon looking at his wound on the day i received call from Kakak Fatin. I  went blank for a second. Beats of my heart stopped and i can feel that my nerves ain't collaborating. I was still dumbstruck in awe.. Adam was still bleeding in awry when hubby picked him up from Kakak Fatin and . the wound were deep. The visible scars on his forehead could tarnished over time but it will be a retaining scar at heart.

Alhamdullillah he seems to be okay for now. No feverish symptoms, no vomiting or throwing what so ever, and loved food like always. Apart from the bleeding, the rest he seems to be okay. PAED rest assures no further examine needed unless those mentioned persist. Alahamdullillah. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you for the prayers on fb.

Mommy: Adam, show mama kat mana tett (sakit)?

Adam : *touch forehead* and he'll go to the mirror for a double check his forehead before he nodded yes.

HAPPY 18 MONTHS YOUNG DEAR BOY!

the little rascal

17 months little rascal.. frame of time did not wait for even a glance of seconds.. well, if you guys notice, i have not put up on Adam's, well literally i did, but not much of a milestones of far he had placed himself. everyday without fail, he put a smile on my face, or even sometimes laughed my heart out seeing him.. just seeing him slowly becoming a person himself, his laughs, his tantrums and by all means the character that he's trying to build. i had always been frazzled running from one thing to another, and i must keep reminding myself, attend my priority to Adam. struggle to understand what can make him squeal in delight..

like this for example... :p

By far, he had learned much. such a fiasco.

1. vocab - are in the stage of picking up.. among that he often use were:

    kat = cat
    bird = bird
    jee = tree
    car = car
    isshh = fish
    moo = cow :p
    maaa instead of mama
    owan (i think he shout for owan more than he calls for maaa or tahhh) ohh tahhh is ayah
    btw :)
    oma = tok mama
    nenek = nenek MIL (excellently)
    coco = his green crocodile
    bed = bread
    baa baa = baa baa black sheep (he'll grab my phone and insisted me baa baa)
    tet = sakit
    hot = hot
    annah = uncle ngah
    cichik = uncle chip
    tetimm = uncle tim (hubby's bro)
    owoh = Allah
    and more and more of his blabbering that i am trying hard to understand.

2. able to connect on simple instructions.. - he knows when i ask him to sit down, stand up, boom boom (sleep)..last night, i overheard he converse with owan ( i was in the kitchen and they were at the livings)..adam went, "maa maa?"...owan replied to him, "maa kitchen" (pointing to where the kitchen is i suppose) and within a seconds i found him running towards me with a hand full of mango. *cair*

3. insist on spoon feed himself. a real anak melayu, makan spaghetti pakai tangan :) and also gobble the glass to drink on his own, and yeah, not in the sippy cup okay..

4. owoh.... place the sajadah by himself,  stand up while hand twisted firm and then sujud, and repeat again and again. ahh, he's soo good at imitating!

5. a little transgressions..loves the kitchen utensils! tok mama once found her senduk in his yellow car. and two spoons of course. plus an onion. what laa he has in mind at that point of time. cooking in the car i guess.

6. Pulling tantrums - oh boy. restless. i don't remember myself doing that at his age.

7. sulk again. ayah scolded him.. poor boy. seriously i got so touched seeing him crying/sulk. motherly instinct they say? see his feet? panjang! all 8 pairs of his, none fits him longer. mommy need to purchase a new one.

8. loves talking on the phone. all phone applicable. he'll go gugu gaga and out of a sudden, he laugh! again, pretty sure he imitated owan..

9. he knows car key. in the car, he'll point out to ayah as if teaching ayah how to plug the car key. or sometimes, he'll grab the car key and plug to his scuttle bug or bumblebee yellow car and make this sound vrooom vrooom..

10. eats almost everything except for the spicy and herbs rich food. he laid his taste bud on spaghetti and seem to amused by it. his favorite would still be Nasi Ayam and Yakult! i somehow, halt him from chocolates & candies. not until he's 2 and a half at least. he loves McD's fries, and ayah disagree with the idea of having it often. high carb & too oily according to him. so, Adam only gets to have it once in 2 months. :) or 3 sometimes. so far, being 17 months old, he has not show any sign of being picky in his daily food intake and to date, no signs of allergy. but i do notice he continues scratching his butt whenever he munch keropok regularly.. and when i ask why, he'll reply chee (itchy) ..:) so, keropok is not encourage for you young man.

11. Teeth count? Nope. I lost count of the teeth he has so far.

12. Milk? 7 ounce per feeding and 5 times feeding per day. Religiously continue ANMUM 3.

13. A..bey (B)..chee (C)..

Adam dear, i want you to know one thing for sure, that i thank Allah every seconds for you. Little that i know a little rascal like you means a world to me.

can you see the scratch? baby boy got hurt. and deep pain in mommy's heart too. he bumped onto the kitchen gate and scar himself out as being told by kakak fatin. ouchhh and disgrace! poor boy. i know i know..i ain't blaming kakak fatin. "budak tengah nak besar.." says MIL. nevertheless, that never did drained my energy level. keep me on the go at most of the time. well soon baby boy.

playgroup

WHAT IS PLAYGROUP?

An informal session where parents, carers, babies, and children aged 0 to school age come together in a relaxed and friendly environment. Gives children an opportunity to have fun, make new friends and develop new skills through informal play.

Provides parents and carers with an opportunity to meet other parents and carers, make friends, and share ideas and experiences. Allows parents and carers to spend quality time with their children, encouraging, helping or simply playing with their children. [source: alimkids]

I was so ecstatic upon reading the snippet ad on their website and without further a due, ring them up to secure a place. Luckily their introduction class were still open. The last piece according to them, which i thank God for my quick nerves integration:p It is by all means, targeted at toddler aged 2-4, kinda platform for the age group upon embarking pre-schooling i guess, and i was sugar high when they responded to my quest on bringing my 17 months toddler for a little exposure. Just a little not much :p

So, we brought Adam for Playgroup! Ready for a little whoop of joy, boy?

Adam was all amused to the surroundings. Sits and watch was the attempt he made for the first few seconds. Medium used is conducted in English if you wonder.

Stand up for a song. *couldn't recall what song was it, but it's about praising the All mighty* See the tiny spot he's standing on? Every members of the playgroup were given one each. Adam stands and watch. When the music starts, all the kids geared towards the rhythm. He loves musics.

Engaging friend to join him. Parents are allowed in the class. Adam was the youngest of course wherein the rest of the participants already talking instead of babbling and understand simple straight instructions.

Adam start to play around. He got bored during the story-telling slots. Too much for him to absorb perhaps. So, he find comfort in exploring the surroundings. The teacher's magic box has loads of treasures, to his amuse.

See? He's proud to be the center of attraction. Sooo ayah! haha. He couldn't care less. He had always been frazzled running from one thing to another. I want to do, what i want to do. He follows what was being instructed for like 10 good seconds, before parting himself for new discovery. The musings triggered his happiness. Thank God he didn't pull tantrums on the day.

Drawing slots. Apart from sing a song and story telling, the kids got goofed with drawings. with crayons frantically. They were asked to recognize glimpse of faces i.e happy and sad even were taught to mimicked them. This is Adam's art-work. With mommy's touch of course. It wouldn't look rather nice if wouldn't. :p

Overall, it was a splendid morning to start of the Saturday with given the quality time understanding the behavior of your own blood flesh and seeing the way he connect himself to the surroundings especially in meeting new people. A pat on his back. No tantrums, no whines, no drama wails. *ouh thank God again*. The ordeal went well and i gleamed in pride seeing he composed himself. He is starting to develop the person he is. Oh boy, you're grown up! *mommy criess*

and a moment after, immediately dozed off in the car. kepenatan belajar agaknye :p

buai laju laju

after a long pause of what to do for the weekend, suddenly "ting".. tinker bell rings! bulb of my innovative mind work. ssshhh, it works in mysterious way you know..ok, i decided to throw adam boy on a swing. he has never been on a swing before. wonder how would he react to it..so, coax hubby as early as 9am to get dress for the park. he asked, why laa must go to the park? why can't we go to other place? other than park, at least? well, it's the swing for god sake.. where else got swing kan? it was just nearby, here.

yeayy...nak pegi mana dulu ye? hrmm.

tour tour tour and look around and run!

adam got contented. he was babbling and laughing all. he loved it! if he were to talk, i bet he would have said,  thank you mom for this place. awesome cool. you're the best mom.

the smile that i always couldn't get enough of it

unlike the swing, he was too terrified being on this slide. refuse to sit and wailing for a hand to couch him out of the slide.

we were there for approximate good half and hour only since it was scorching hot. So before hubby comes and complaint he got tanned bla bla, or later insist i buy him any whitening cream, we better be, pave our way back home. the sun were soo friendly and comes too near to us. Adam, next time mommy promise will bring you here again. Or tell you what dear, let's us both be nice to ayah so he would be generous enough to buy you one of this? no? ahhaahaha, ayah'll go madness reading this :p
