umar is 1 !

January 8th 2014.. so he turned ONE. Time waits for no man. sessshhh.. It was still vividly clear the day I held you for the first time, weighing at 3.97kg, 1.33 in the morning. Mommy were indeed overwhelmed. The surreal happiness, the feeling running through my wrecking nerves knowing that you're safely arrived into my arms; priceless :) Alhamdulillah.

another chapter of 365 days.

farewell 2013.. so cheers to a new chapter of 365 days. Whether your 2013 had its fair share of laughs, mishaps or regrets, now is the time to make some New Year's resolutions and start 2014 fresh, in sha Allah.

September : One debt bygone. Alhamdulillah.

October : Celebrated our 5th anniv. We are FIVE people. :)

November : Adam's first Concert

 November : the much anticipated waits of the year, the House. Finally it's OURS.

 

So, that's a wrap for 2013. May 2014  shines us all the way of our devouring path towards an endless journey called HAPPINESS.

Umar's first step

 

It was taken 2 weeks ago. The baby steps that'll go for miles. He started his very first step at 10 months young. Way you go little rascal.

four already?

He's now FOUR. 

how time flies. he'll be 5 next year and soon within a blink of an eye, I'll be one of those enthusiast  parents lining up for Primary 1 registration. Gahh. Cannot imagine. Don't want to imagine now.

Happy Birthday Adam! Hope you enjoyed the Lego Themed Cake as much as mommy did upon placing the order :p May Allah shower you with his ocean wide blessings. Loves you to the moon and back.

Our weekend are now pretty much occupied - with the house of course, despite running the weekly errands. We've started on the plaster ceiling, and the kitchen cabinet will follow suit. Husband engaged a nearby contractor and detailed the concept we wanted with the limited budget that we possessed. The contractor were very nice, forked out his mind a simple and stylish design to meet our wants within our constrain.

adam's year end concerto 2013

So Nov 24th was Adam's Year End Concert held in PICC. It was the day, mommy had been looking forward too *grin in excitement*. Adam has been practicing (mumbling bits thou) his line a month prior to the concert. 

There was this one noon, came back from school Adam uttered "mommy baca Surah al-Maun mommy".. *gasp* *frown deep* trying hard to remember which of the many surahs would be Surah Al Maun. So I quickly grab my phone in shed for some enlightenment. Ah ok, there you go Surah Al-Maun.. "Ara-ai-tall lazzi.." Shame on me :p  His class will be reciting the surah for the concert and I swear I was sobbing my eyes out upon listening to his memorization. It takes the courage out of any 3 plus year old to be able to memorize the lines. Mommy is so proud of you!

On Nov 1st

finally finally finally i'm writing again.. Life nowadays seemingly gave me less and lesser 'me time' :p No, I don't complaint you see, I'm thanking. I'm blessed.

Well, FIRSTLY the hallmark of all.. cough cough..

 

 ta-daaaa... we are enchanted! the house is officially ours! Alhamdulillah on Nov 1st. We were called by the developer for the Key Giving Ceremony :) 

after much anticipation we are now dredging our mind visualizing the concept, color, material, all the knots one could think of on furnishing the house .. now the adult in us are talking :p larders full of ideas and imaginations. *already foresee our weekend to and fro-IKEA* I ecstatically said I want the living to be like this, when the husband uttered oh no it has to be like that.. you see- the never ending argument. flipping magazines and interior surfing mode right onwards.

 

Our unit. Semi detached with 6 bedrooms and 1 maid's room. It comes with furnished security system linked straight to the guard house, luckily free 3 water heater (by the developer), and 2 years warranty for defect period.

So, every penny earned from now on will be dedicated on furnishing the house. No traveling for the year.  Sobbs.

Now you see, then you don't! haha.. the view from my office this morning, at approx 3 hrs difference and the PICC eventually disappear from view. So people, extra care for yourself and loved ones yeah?

after a month of not writing..

blow dust blow dust.. go away..

It has really been a while since i last penned. Work piling and all this nonsense 'penggabungan kpt-kpm' is lining us all headache. It seems going no where. Argh better not talk about office. Let it be..

I'll sum up highlight of the event till date, of heck happening ..

Alhamdulillah my little baby is now 5 months and 1 week. Will start solid on him next week, just like the way his brother had. Not much of a rolling scene as far as I am concerned, 1 or 2 the most, but verily he's gearing up lifting his butt to venture and mobile around. Blabbering is what he master at for the time being. Aaaa-buuuuuu :p Disseminating his saliva to his loved ones. haha

Bumbo baby.

The last 3 weeks he weighs at 8kg.. With him starting solid next week, let us all make a guess his weight till the next check up. teehee. He's an easy baby (at least the babysitter said so). Not much of a fuss. Alhamdulillah. We shall see ok young man. :)

I've started FM on him. Enfalac baby now Umar. It was a heart wrenching story behind it but after all I don't questioned. I thank Allah for everything. 5 months of exclusive breastmilk was God sent, tho I initially thought I could made it till 6mos. But anyways as long his growing up well, I'm one happy mom. Grow baby grow :)

 

Abg Adam has now blend well with his school. Super love his adik. Pandai auta also.

 

 Brotherhood. Do they resemble? Well to me sometimes its a yes, but other times its like like 'eh not quite alike lah'.. haha.. after all, this is the two that I dedicated my life to. Day and night I shed all my love for the both of them.

 

On another note, we finally made our very first long distance trip this year. The four of us. Yayy.

 

to Cherating we went. Umar had his first pool dipping and boy he made himself comfortable for the good half an hour in the pool boating the mickey. And paddled himself to maneuver. Funny baby la you.

 

Ah here come the best part, I think I do have passion in cooking. Ahaha.. self proclaimed :p High and low, I've been venturing into recipes and try it on my own. Effort worth!

 

The super easy brownies which turned out pretty well tho it's the first time I'm making it. And I dont fake it. Teehee. *_* 

 

My version of Mushroom Bruschetta. Not bad at all not bad.. aherm :p 

 Will next try on baking bread and cake. Wish me luck :)
