adam start solids!

yeayy!mark another milestone little boy.adam started solids at 5.5 months old.mommy was all juicy excited about it. remember the earlier post where i was about googling down and low on starting solids for him?yes.thus, as an endearing way to reveal how every mommy's heart is full of love, yours truly made such an effort prepare a home  made blended porridge.despite the fact that i gave him heinz apple first, but who cares.am still claiming the home made one as the first one!haha.

here's the picture of it.

tadaa!the-long-stirr-porridge from the stove.plain and vain.ready for the next toss.

the-long-stirr-porridge then blended smooth and subtle.u can also use stick mixer or an immersion blender.

it was then kept for refrigerating. ok, i am not soo keen on keeping up food stocks for week.rather, this lazy lady choosed to prepare the home made food every 48hrs.why?simple.the reason lame is, am still not confident on the substance quality after stored and thawed.for babies especially. In the refrigerator, it is recommended that fresh pureed homemade baby food be stored no longer than 48 hours (many food safety authorities say that 72 hour is fine.). This limit ensures that bacteria growth in the puree is kept to a minimum and that the food does not take on the "taste of the fridge".

nom..nom..nom..juicy and tasty kan syg?:p his first solids mommy-made!

adam all in comot glory.uhu..not enuff eh syg?hehe

bravo mommy.bravo!and owh, here are some tips for sharing - its from my find out the other day.

How To Make A Baby Food Purée

1. Start by cooking the vegetable/fruit either by steaming, baking, microwaving or boiling.
Steaming maintains the most nutrients. Steaming, baking and boiling all allow for big batches of foods to be made at one time.

Microwave if you have a small appliance or for when you plan to puree only a full ice tray of food. It is best to microwave in glass. Many parents prefer to not use a microwave (ourselves included); we suggest that you steam or bake as the preferred cooking method. Read all about the various Cooking Methods and Baby Food.

2. Take the cooked vegetable or fruit and remove them into the machine you have decided to use for pureeing.

3. Set aside the liquid that the vegetable/fruits were cooked in. This will be the liquid you add to make the puree.  You may also thin with Formula, Breast Milk or Plain Water. Adding this liquid also helps to preserve any nutrients that may have leached into the water during cooking.

4. Set your machine to puree or grind and begin to mash the vegetables or fruits.

5. As you are pureeing or blending, add the liquid or plain water.  You may use formula or breast milk if you so desire. These liquids give a little nutritional boost and add a familiar taste for baby. Pureeing without adding any liquids is also a good idea. Many parents prefer to thin their foods before they will serve them to their babies. We tend to prefer this as well.

bargain of the month!

hello again.

its school holidays!hurrah hurrah for the kids and all the teachers out there!regardless of what u've planned for the children, dun put them at risk of any harm.make it one enjoyable dedication of the family indeeds :)

ok, my little adam recuperates pleasantly, despite bit bit of running nose which cause the delay in his sleeping patterns. it goes like this, when a cold attacks, the swelling and the increase mucus in a baby's narrow nassal passages makes it difficult to breathe thru the nose, so sleeping may be disturbed.at this point of time my little adam doing great just!guess the pouring tenderness from mommy heals :p

apparently, back to the topic above, being the marvel mommy i am, can i ever stop the nerves whenever spotted baby's garment on shelves?irresistable!:) on my way back from my graduation (will later post an entry on this) me and the GBS bunch went for a lepak session at bangsar village which is just nearby to INTAN (where the ceremony was held).my glance quickly capture this one shop named adam's kids!whoa, little that i know my little boy owns one :) and after several glance, i tempted for this one:

hott and sexxay:p must go again!

this one mommy bought during the friday lunch time in alamanda :) thats the good part and not-so-sood part when ur office is located complacent to a shopping complex.

later only that i found out they're having a PONEY FAIR here.they're opening from 8th - 13th june.surely i must not miss the chance for an eye at least.basically, on scales, there are not much of an item offered, but there were few worth a good bargain!and mommy grab this for the little adam

sweater!red hott one :)
