why were women forbidden to marry than one husband at a time?

unlike men...

this is an article i stumbled upon whilst blog hopping and i found it much relevant to my concern. why a woman can't marry more than one husband? it answers my long asked question that i kept at heart, and very true indeed. i went livid upon reading it and wanted to keep it for my future sake.

One day the great Imam Abu Hanifah was asked a question that, for the first time in his illustrious career, he was unable to answer. The question was, "Why were women forbidden to marry more than one husband at a time?"

To make a long story short, Abu Hanifah's daughter said that she knew the answer and would solve this question if her father would make a promise to her that if she succeeded in solving this problem, he would then assure her a place in history. Abu Hanifah agreed.

So she gathered a group of women together and gave each of them a cup. Then she brought in a large bowl of milk and asked each of them to dip their cups in the milk and to fill their cups. They did so. She then asked them to pour back the milk into the bowl. They did this too. She then asked them to re-fill their cups taking back only their own milk that they had poured into the bowl.

This, obviously, was impossible to do. Hanifah had clearly demonstrated the kind of predicament that would be created if a woman had several husbands. With more than one husband, if she were to become pregnant, she would have exceptional difficulties determining who the actual father was. Identifying parentage and lineage would then be insurmountable for the offspring. Imam Abu Hanifah was so pleased with her answer that he took the name 'Abu Hanifah', 'the father of Hanifah', so his daughter did indeed earn a place in history.

10 months and 10kg

adam boy is 10 months old.

only a few weeks shy from his birthday. to date, he'll pretty soon turn 11 months. too much has been incorporated since the day he came into existence. he'll soon becoming toddler. baby no more. i'm gonna miss that! the babyhood. so, what's new at this pace of time? not much, but surely pretty much for me :)

at 10 months of time span, the lil boy weighed 10kgs :) but some says adam seems shedding off some weight. i guess it's the height gush that pushing making him slimmer.

he got his first high temp fever at 40 deg during the aidil adha! myself hoarded with panicked. he was shivering, and muttering mammma..mamma..*heart-wrenched* we immediately took him to az-zahrah, only to find out the looong que and will only be called out within 1 hour laps. 1 hour of waiting in awry looking into the eye of the sick lil baby?? no, i don't tolerate 1 hour for my sick baby. thus we quickly make our way to KPJ Kajang. we were strolled straight to emergency. thank god dun need to forlorn long.

he sit confidently and even walk by holding to the furniture or sometimes by gripping to me and possibly letting go momentarily and standing without support - the magical first steps towards independence!

he started nasi lenyek. he was instantly on porridge earlier on. and now he contented nasi lenyek happily! and he had his first nasi minyak during my cousin's wedding!

he moves! he shakes! bring on the vibes! haha. to one particular video apparently. the parents startled when we first saw. i mean, never in me taught him to do so. he just blend to the rhythm! whenever i turned the video 'if you are happy and you know it' on you-tube, he'll start moving & shaking his head. must take video on it!

words and wordlike sounds started spilling from the tiny mouth of his. and i marvel at it! whenever he walk on my grip, he'll go tak tak teh..and continues until himself stop pursuing the steps.

throw tantrums for the first time! bring out the sign of protest when the weekly maid kak sumi stopped him from hovering the stairs. siap nangis baring on the floor sambil hentak2 kaki. suprise suprise! more to come i foresee. oh my..

adam boy, mommy hopes to see the more of you in coming times. smooch smooch.

missions during the weekend

it's saturday. and it's adam's day out! i think, taking him out is somehow a less lethargic activity. instead of being home - an avid mobile baby! ampleness for him to jump out and about, crawl like he own's the world from one corner to another corner of the house - albeit being strapped to the stroller, adam wasn't growling nor fussing except for his meal time.. he behaved extraordinary good. mommy's relieved!

off we went out, with missions of course to be accomplished.

mission 1: to PATCHI . I need to get the hantaran's chocolate for beloved cousin's wedding which is this sunday. thus, heads up to mid valley. deliriously stepped out from the shop once done contenting the heart with all distinguish chocolates offered, we saw delicious cafe right in front. a little whoop of joy slipped in. i immediately drawn back to zetty's post on dining at delicious. said to myself, must give it a try :p

the end result however, frustrating! dry and plain. nothing extinguish, except for the deco at least. cozy place for hang out. or perhaps, it was my taste bud went wrong. *trying hard conjuring not to be mean* .
