adam's first token ride

what a laid back weekend!

it's a gloomy and wet Saturday (the rain pours for like every second of the day!). nothing much we did except for some shopping at Alamanda. yeah, where else! malas to crash the traffic snarl on weekend considering the approaching CNY, so Alamanda was the fanciest in the area, that we could think of at least. just doing pleasure with no brain activity :)

The Little humungous :p

adam says: mommy, i love this cruiser sure lots! yeeehaa!
adam's first token ride! he gets all excited to be able to navigate the steering wheel.

focus as it seems. see, adam went on the ride with a friend (recently met). that cute little fella, is older than adam by 4 days only. but see the size wise? definitely adam is more like 'abang' aite? :p

yeahh, this is the one he spotted first upon entering the Toys R Us. very manly like.
adam, lurking at ayah and says: ayah, when can i have one of this?

squat passionately for the steering wheel. (adam was all fascinated by the wide range of toys in the store)

ahaaa.. this is cool too. he did make an effort to climb on top of it. alluring it.

and a lullaby swing (by Little Tikes) before heading back empty handed from the famous toy store. ahaha. ayah said, no more toys for the little boy until 15 months the least (since loads truck of his birthday present were still unwrapped)
geddit adam? :p

and at the end of the day, he sleeps exhaustingly..

wordless wednesday # 3

:)

one year old immunization

by one year old, it is said, a child should complete the following:

Hepatitis B2-3 doses
Inactivated Polio2-3 doses
DTaP3-4 doses
Rotavirus3 doses
Pneumococcal4 doses
Haemophilus Influnzae4 doses
Measles-Mumps_Rubella1 dose
Chickenpox (Varicella)1 dose

source: kid's growth

from the readings, it is said the recommended immunization for a one year old is the MMR - Measles, Mumps, and Rubella. The MMR vaccine is now given in two dosages. The first should be given at 12-15 months of age. The second vaccination should be given at 4-6 years. Does it do any harms? Absolutely NO. But, at very severe circumstances, the MMR may somehow cause mild fever and rashes, which are by far not serious. In Adam's case, alhamdulillah he has not develop any feverish despite mild running nose. And seems to get better day by day. :)

For parents, u guys might want to do some readings on the vaccinations to ensure we as a parents understand clearly the given prescriptions. this can help :)

and there's my little boy for his jab

emir's birthday & the house

of another weekend went by..

adam & mommy attending emir faiz's 2nd birthday bash. he managed with the party hat on top for at least half an hour before he tores it off.

take turn :) mommy's turn gobbling the divine serving.

the food was splendid! ayah had 3 times serving of nasi ayam! even adam had mouthful loads of it. thanks to the host! failed miserably to snap pictures with the birthday boy since he was too occupied entertaining guests.

and owh, we made a visit to our becoming home. for the first time since it started work. the sales & purchase signed in October 2010, thus hubby make up a point and initiated the visit since he wanted to capture the progress phase by phase. yours truly on the other hand, was skeptical in the first place since it's scorching hot for the past few days, so i dare not to let myself bare naked under the heat:p so, he went alone. sorry dear :p

the show-house. it's not 100% furnished thou. hubby personally do not favor the gate. and i couldn't be less agree. too simple and not nice, instead of simple and nice

the porch and the main door

the walkway on the left side of the house

on the other side of the house

the balcony on the third floor. can become adam's mini playground

and this is our lot :) the beaming in progress.

hubby insist for a weekly visit, and i decline the offer thoroughly! my say is, you'll only see the same thing and it wouldn't help much. so i suggested we made a visit again in 6 months time for progress monitoring. at least the beaming as above should be done by then. i am getting the vibe now!

Adam meets Egg Yolks for the first time

just another weekend went by. And it's Monday again. i did nothing productive during the weekend, except for being bounded to the sofa and tv remote. not healthy? yeah rite! hate myself for that! must put the blame on hubby, since he was all day long out with his flying class, leave behind the lovely wife playing chase and run with the active baby in house. no outing. sobbss.. but that explains a little workout at least. and a decent home cooked meal. :)

the Sunday morning, hubby lurked for breakfast at Bangi Kopitiam. it is then when i within a brink decided to introduce egg yolks for adam (of course i did some readings earlier on). something new in his diet. Experts advises parents to only introduce egg yolks at 8 months and egg whites at 1 year old mark. Egg whites are never to be served before 1. Any early could result in an adverse reaction. The egg yolks is said contains the following:

  • all of an egg’s vitamin A, D, and E;
  • almost all the vitamin B12, choline, folic acid and vitamin B3;
  • 76% of the biotin,
  • 73% of the inositol,
  • 50% of the niacin,
  • 93% of the vitamin B6,
  • 42% of the riboflavin,
  • 90% of the thiamin
  • 44% of the protein
and substantial portions of the egg’s mineral content
    Source: wholesomebabyfood

It is also said: Eggs is one of the common causes of food allergy and those with an allergy to eggs tend to react to the proteins in the egg white - ovalbumin and ovomucoid. Some children, however, are allergic to the yolk protein, although this is far less common. source: here

so, since he's hit the 1 year old mark, i thought it would be best to give it a try!

bread dip in egg yolks. discard the white egg of course :)
and walla, he went hand clapping upon it! he loves the egg yolk. or wait, what did he not like in the first place? naa, that is what i'm yet to discover. he just seems to love foods. :P

but must remember, egg yolk is not to be served on daily basis. 3 times a week sufficient enough for babies diet :)

a tulip bouquet for a dear friend

to dear friend (you know who you are)

i know you're in deep wound. you feel lame & lousy. like the world's becoming end. when all seems crap. i mean, who doesn't when talking about losing your love aite? but please, hang in there and take a long deep breath.

i dedicated this of my sincere thought to let you know, the world needed you, more than you ever realized. open your eyes wide. open your heart widest :)

relationship are like glass. sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to heart yourself putting it back together. because at perk, it's letting go that makes you a stronger person.

don't mourn, neither forlorn on the past. you are one beautiful lady one could wish for. you may not be perfect, but heyy, who does? we are all human beings. bound to mistakes. i know i am :) always remember, pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. cheer up and look up. be faith in Him. True love is sacred. Some find it, some don’t and some live a life pretending they found it in a love they know doesn’t exist.

so here's a bouquet to you, to keep you smile, sincere from me :)

the birthday aqiqah

Finally the day, after much contemplation & anticipation..

Date: January 1st 2011 (1.1.11)
Venue: The Parents Residence, Bangi
Occasion: Adam's Birthday Aqiqah

initially, i wanted to have an eloborate party, with themed decor, themed balloons inside out, clowns, magic shows, and games, and invite every single being i know. What mom wouldn't want to tell the world, their precious son is turning one, aite?

After sitting down, pondering deep, pressing hard on the calculator again and again, i came to realize that i'm not even near to Jolie, and my husband's pocket is not as full as Mr. Trump! Therefore, i scrapped the idea of a big birthday throw, and came up with a little cozy serenity surrounded with the loved ones.

alhamdulillah the said event went well, despite few hiccups, somehow. :) the sunny ol weather, the back and forth brother running to re-fuel ice (till his face turn red :p 5 times re-filling the water tank!), the helium that went down super early and leaves the balloons all covering the floor and the tent! ok, i won't let the list continue. and thank god the birthday boy did not went grumpy. he was all overjoyed seeing the peoples around.

ok, so here's the spice em up to wrap on adam's birthday aqiqah.

shirt for the birthday boy from here. pretty cheap, for RM25, no?

the table setting. gold-ish table cloth to match the blue-ish serviette. (mom's genius idea) :p

let's partayyyyy! had a lonnngggg conversation with abah the night before, since he deter the idea in the first place, and manage to hung it up, finally :p

the balloons! bought it from Balloon Buzz. kinda cheap, 100 pieces for rm33.90. believe it or not, we bought 300 of em! knocked out the party guyss! and ayah blew 150 of em all by himself! the help of helium of course. which was quite a splurge. as for the remaining 150? will keep it for his next birthday :p

ayah said, this is long-life banner! can always use this again on adam's second till even 50th birthday, no? :p

adam's aerocandy pit. it was suppose to be the candy buffet by Merisik Gallery, but then it has extra addition of each and each by mama. she claims the table 'look empty', so she thought it was a favor from her for making it look 'fully loaded' and vast!i don't have a clear picture for single items on the table. ouh sad :(

the official birthday cake by Datin Maryzain. it's rainbow swirl inside. (how i wish this cake was just for display) :p

the second birthday cake from Uncle Sam. the nyummeh Red Velvet! it's so rich inside.

like i said earlier, 'mama's favor' ..got caramel puddings from Madalind's Bite, carrot cake, kueh koci.. hiks:p

the party goodies for the little guest.  aged 6 months and above, i added the baby bites for em to munch munch. together with the clapper for play some. as for the older kids, they have with them a pencil each as substitutes. together of course is the chocolates and decent junkies.

the cookies as door gift. i ordered the thank you tag, again with MG. initially i wanted to craft one of my own, but given the time constraint, i scratched! it didn't came true.

and this.. my konon2 brilliant idea :p bought this negative frame in IKEA and at immediate instance i know how to work with it. blew it on me! attached adam's pix from birth to date. i name it the milestone negative frame. can hang this up in his room one day :)

Majlis Doa Selamat

the cake cutting at 3-ish. scorching hot the day was, and i was sweat-ing stink :p adam got his first taste of the rainbow swirl. no close up, apparently.

alhamdulillah, it seems the guests 's enjoying the company, albeit the sun shines bright all day long. we catered for 150 guests but then, but the turn out was about 200 plus. it was way not enough. we had to cater for 'lauk tambah' , instead.

thank you friends for coming. sarah, daus, and me. the dpa batch-mate.

school-mate. we are now all mommies. how time flies. :p thank you for the time ladies.

girlfriend and her beloved. thank you edat for coming!

later the day, tired-looking-birthday-boy. see, got the cake dust on his lips. definitely engrossed by the cake.

birthday gift. thank you all. mommy adam appreciate every single one of it.

that is all on adam's birthday aqiqah. it turn out great and well. *gee, who said its easy hosting a one year old birthday party?* it was an endurance. until the final touch of it. to the husband, family and in laws, thank you for the endless support.

i will now sit down and start pondering for his second birthday. kiasu or what? haha..
